[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Kolon Industries FnC Division (Kolon FnC) recorded its highest-ever performance for the second quarter.
On the 5th, Kolon FnC announced through a disclosure on the 4th that its sales for the second quarter of this year were preliminarily estimated at 309.9 billion KRW, a 22.9% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating profit for the same period was recorded at 8.1 billion KRW, up 52.9%.
The performance improvement was driven by significant growth in golf brands such as Zipore, which was launched last year, Wac, The Cart Golf, and outdoor brand Kolon Sports. Additionally, the full-scale reopening following the lifting of social distancing measures contributed to an overall increase in clothing consumption.
The company explained, “We expect sales to increase due to the recovery of consumer sentiment and the establishment of a stable brand portfolio, and we anticipate an improvement in operating profit in the mid to long term.”
