'Counteroffer for Job Change' Followed by 'Leaving During the Match'... Ten Hag Coach "Will Not Tolerate"
[Asia Economy PD Yoon Jin-geun] Football player Cristiano Ronaldo (37, Manchester United) is causing controversy by leaving the stadium before the team finished the match. Following the 'transfer counteroffer' issue that arose in July, attitude problems have been raised consecutively.
On the 31st of last month (local time), Ronaldo left the stadium before the end of the friendly preseason match against Rayo Vallecano held at Old Trafford. Ronaldo started the match but failed to score and was substituted by Amad Diallo during halftime between the first and second halves.

Erik ten Hag, Manchester United’s manager, expressed discomfort regarding Ronaldo’s mid-game departure in an interview with Dutch media Via Play on the 3rd, saying, “It is unacceptable,” and added, “He should have stayed until the end. (Such behavior) is not tolerated for the sake of the entire team.”

Ronaldo also caused noise related to transfers during the previous preseason period. It is known that he has been making counteroffers to several teams to participate in the UEFA Champions League. Several foreign media outlets reported that Ronaldo himself told Manchester United in early July, “If a suitable transfer offer comes, I want to leave the team.”
However, it is reported that no European football club currently wants Ronaldo. According to foreign media, Ronaldo and his agent have sent proposals to FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, among others. Including these clubs, no team has officially confirmed signing Ronaldo so far.
Ronaldo transferred to Manchester United in the summer of 2021 and played 39 matches last season, scoring 24 goals and providing 3 assists.
