[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Employers Federation announced on the 4th that it opened the Middle-aged Job Hope Center at the Gwangju Gwangsan Employment Welfare+ Center on the 1st.
The Middle-aged Job Hope Center is a specialized institution for middle-aged jobs in our region for those aged 40 and over, operating job matching services, career transition support services, and life career design programs.
Since moving into the Gwangju Employment Welfare Plus Center located in Geumnamno 5-ga in September 2015, it has been actively operating projects such as job counseling and job matching for visiting job seekers, and life career design programs. Through business agreements with small and medium-sized enterprises, it also provides various services such as helping middle-aged employees currently working in companies with career design. Last year, it received the highest S grade in the national Middle-aged Job Hope Center performance evaluation.
From August this year, two vocational counselors will be dispatched to the Gwangju Gwangsan Employment Welfare Plus Center located at Heukseok Intersection in Gwangsan-gu to further expand services for job seekers and companies in the Gwangsan area.
Center Director Lee Byung-geun said, “With the opening of the Gwangsan Center, employment placement and reemployment education for middle-aged people have been expanded throughout the Gwangju area,” and added, “We will strive to become a job center that can be a hope for middle-aged people.”
