[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Joselgina] U.S. President Joe Biden, who is in isolation after being reinfected with COVID-19, still tested positive on a rapid antigen test on the 3rd (local time).
Dr. Kevin O'Connor, President Biden's physician, confirmed this fact in a letter released by the White House on the same day, stating, "President Biden is experiencing intermittent coughing, but the frequency has decreased compared to yesterday. He has no fever, and his temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation are all completely normal." He added, "The President will continue to perform his duties for the American people while maintaining strict isolation."
President Biden, aged 79, was isolated after testing positive for COVID-19 on July 21. After treatment with Paxlovid, he tested negative on July 27. However, just three days later, on July 30, he tested positive for COVID-19 again.
