Government Provides $200,000 Humanitarian Aid for Earthquake Damage in Luzon Island, Philippines

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] The government has decided to provide humanitarian aid worth $200,000 (approximately 260 million KRW) for the damage caused by the recent strong earthquake in the northern Luzon Island of the Philippines.


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on the 2nd, "We hope this support will help the Filipino people affected by the earthquake to quickly stabilize their lives and assist in the recovery of the affected areas."


On the northern Luzon Island of the Philippines, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake occurred on the 27th of last month (local time), causing extensive damage.


According to foreign media reports, as of the previous day, there were 10 deaths and more than 375 injuries, and including property damage, about 300,000 people were affected.
