[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] On the 1st, Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, directly criticized the party leadership, saying, "Gathering the Supreme Council members who declared their resignation and voting on the claim that 'the Supreme Council members have resigned, creating an emergency situation' even though the resignation letters have not yet been submitted is the level of logic I have experienced for a year."
Lee stated this through Facebook in the afternoon, adding, "In the meantime, not having enough numbers to hold a meeting is just like seasoning."
Despite Bae Hyun-jin, Cho Soo-jin, and Yoon Young-seok expressing their intention to resign, the resignation letters have not yet been received by the party secretariat. As the possibility of participating in the Supreme Council vote for the transition to a Bae Dae-wi (Emergency Response Committee) was raised, he appears to have questioned the procedural legitimacy.
The remark about "not having enough numbers to hold a meeting" is interpreted as a jab at some Supreme Council members who previously expressed their intention to resign and also declared their absence from the Supreme Council meetings.
Within the party, figures aligned with Lee Jun-seok have shown a negative stance toward the transition to a Bae Dae-wi, arguing that such a transition would fundamentally block Lee's return, as his party membership has been suspended for six months.
