[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] It is a strong performance by Kim Si-woo (27), ranked 62nd in the world.

On the 31st (Korean time), at Detroit Golf Club in Michigan, USA (par 72, 7,370 yards), during the third day of the PGA Tour Rocket Mortgage Classic (total prize money $8.4 million), he posted a 4-under-par round to maintain a tie for 7th place (13-under-par 203 strokes). Rookie Taylor Pendrith (Canada) and last week's 3M Open winner Tony Finau share the lead (21-under-par 195 strokes), with Cameron Young (both from the USA) in 3rd place, 4 strokes behind (17-under-par 199 strokes).

Starting from a tie for 7th place, 6 strokes behind, Kim Si-woo recorded 6 birdies and 2 bogeys. In the front nine, he reduced 4 strokes with consecutive birdies on holes 1 and 2, and added 2 more birdies on holes 4 and 8. In the back nine, he gained momentum with a birdie on the 14th hole (par 5), but was checked by a bogey on the 16th hole (par 4), and the birdie on the 17th hole (par 5) was canceled out by a bogey on the 18th hole (par 4). His long drives reached up to 339 yards, with an impressive fairway hit rate of 85.71% and green in regulation rate of 72.22%.

He is 8 strokes behind the leader, making a comeback victory difficult. This is a position where he can expect to enter the ‘Top 10’ for the first time in 9 months since tying for 8th at the Sanderson Farms Championship last October. Pendrith posted a 6-under-par round to maintain his position at the top of the leaderboard for the third consecutive day. Finau also reduced 7 strokes, increasing his chances of a second consecutive win. ‘Playoff (PO) champion’ Patrick Cantlay (USA) is in 5th place (15-under-par 201 strokes), and defending champion Cam Davis (Australia) is tied for 16th place (10-under-par 206 strokes).

Kim Si-woo's Strong Performance "4-Under Par for Two Consecutive Days"... Pendris and Finau 'Tied for Lead' ‘Special temporary member’ Kim Juhyung surged with a 6-under-par on the third day of the Rocket Mortgage Classic, rising to a tie for 24th place.

From Korea, Kim Joo-hyung (20), who participated as a ‘special temporary member,’ collected 7 birdies (1 bogey). He jumped from a tie for 59th place the previous day to a tie for 24th place (9-under-par 207 strokes). His ‘stingy putting’ of 1.615 putts per hole was outstanding. Currently ranked 131st in the FedEx Cup PO rankings, if he accumulates points until next week's regular season final, the Wyndham Championship, and enters the ‘Top 125,’ he can play on the PGA Tour next season. Kang Sung-hoon (35) added 2-under-par to tie for 29th place (8-under-par 208 strokes).
