[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] Noroo Paint announced on the 29th that it conducted a demonstration of shading agent application using drones on vinyl greenhouses in Nonsan, Chungnam, and livestock barns located in Gimje.
The shading agent is a heat-reflective paint designed to protect crops and livestock threatened by summer heatwaves. When sprayed on the roofs of barns and vinyl greenhouses, it can lower indoor temperatures by up to 5 degrees Celsius. Additionally, it provides shading effects such as ultraviolet blocking that last for more than three months, making it a rapidly growing solution for heatwave countermeasures in farms and livestock facilities.
This drone application demonstration was conducted to enhance work safety and efficiency. Notably, it featured a professional demonstration in collaboration with 'Gibantech,' a specialized functional agricultural materials affiliate of Noroo Group, which is engaged in the future-oriented agri-life business.
A Noroo Paint official stated, “As the intense heatwave season begins, inquiries about the shading agent are flooding in, especially from local governments. We will strive to contribute to the development of domestic agriculture through technological development in the promising agri-life industry.”
