Cultural Heritage Administration Social Economy Business Model Contest Awards Ceremony
On the 26th, the Cultural Heritage Administration and Korea Microcredit Exciting Union held an awards ceremony for the 'Social Economy Business Model Contest in the Cultural Heritage Sector' and awarded three outstanding teams, the 29th reported. The contest targeted new entrepreneurs and existing startup companies to discover and share public business types. It was categorized into 'Preservation and Management Type,' 'Utilization Type,' and 'Others.' Twenty-one proposals were submitted for the contest. The Cultural Heritage Administration selected three teams based on evaluation criteria such as public business development and creating social value for cultural heritage protection. The grand prize went to the Gyeongbuk Cultural Tourism Foundation, which proposed a cultural heritage experience product using disposable takeout cups. The excellence award was given to Yubyeolnan Hyungnimdeul, who suggested making traditional Korean musical instruments from waste plastic, and the merit award went to Nolom, who devised traditional play culture products tailored for foreigners. A Cultural Heritage Administration official stated, "Professional consulting will be provided for actual commercialization," and added, "Preferential benefits will also be given in the selection for next year's cultural heritage-type social economy business development support project."
