Haenam-gun, a Midsummer Night Cultural Festival to Beat the Heat

Next Month on 11-12 at Haenam Gunmin Square, Popular Singers Yang Ji-eun and Jang Min-ho Perform

[Haenam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] The midsummer night cultural festival in Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, "Let's Blow Away the Heat," will be held for the first time in three years.

According to the county on the 29th, this year's event, held for the first time in three years since 2019 due to COVID-19, will take place from the 11th to the 12th of next month at Haenam Citizen Square.

The festival will be held every evening from 7 PM. On the first day, the 11th of next month, twin comedians Lee Sang-ho and Lee Sang-min will host, and popular singers including Yang Ji-eun, the winner of Miss Trot 2, Norazo, and Park Gu-yoon will perform, presenting a hot stage to blow away the midsummer night heat.

On the second day, the 12th, Mr. Trot Jang Min-ho, Koyote, Park Sang-chul, and Lucy will take the stage, leading a passionate festival scene with the citizens.

Also, before the main performances, daily congratulatory performances by local artists will be held, featuring a blend of acoustic guitar ensembles, traditional Korean music (gugak), saxophone and flute, and Korean dance.

This festival is the first to be held at the newly created Citizen Square, and it is expected to provide a healing time for citizens exhausted by the heat as well as a time for community unity following the long suspension of the festival.

A county official said, "We hope that citizens and tourists visiting Haenam during the vacation season will participate in the festival, which is decorated with lively stages, to create memories and have a healing time."
