[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] On the 26th, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, held a child abuse prevention publicity campaign around Boseong Yulpo Beach to promote children's rights and welfare.
About 50 people participated in the event, including related organizations responding to child abuse such as Boseong Police Station, Boseong Office of Education, Jeonnam Northern Child Protection Agency, Family Center, and youth organizations.
The campaign was organized to raise awareness of child abuse among local residents and tourists visiting Yulpo Beach, and to build consensus for the prevention and eradication of child abuse.
Participants distributed leaflets and promotional materials on child abuse prevention, including the abolition of disciplinary rights under civil law, child abuse reporting guidelines, and proper parenting methods to residents.
A Boseong-gun official said, "We hope this campaign will serve as an opportunity for more people to take an interest in child abuse and take active measures for prevention, and we will work together with the local community to ensure that children in the area grow up healthy and safe."
Meanwhile, Boseong-gun plans to continue various activities such as awareness improvement and prevention campaigns for child abuse prevention in cooperation with related organizations including civilian, government, and police sectors.
