[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] The Seoul Shilla Hotel is transforming the ‘Yeongbingwan Rear Garden’ into an urban campsite for the summer vacation season.
According to the Shilla Hotel on the 28th, a midsummer campsite where guests can enjoy private, sentimental camping and watch movies will be operated for a limited period of six days from the 31st of this month to the 5th of next month in the Yeongbingwan Rear Garden.
To this end, the Shilla Hotel is collaborating with the global outdoor gear brand ‘Helinox.’ A large Helinox shade will be installed in the Yeongbingwan Rear Garden, furnished with tables, camping chairs, and wick table lamps to create a camping atmosphere.
Additionally, at the campsite, guests can enjoy ‘Outdoor Gourmet,’ a barbecue set featuring a variety of menus grilled and plated directly by the hotel chef. The barbecue plate, abalone ramen, fruits, and alcoholic beverages are served inside the shade. The barbecue plate includes marinated LA galbi, lamb chops, shrimp, homemade sausage, and grilled vegetables, which are pre-grilled and then finished on the grill by a professional chef before serving.
Moreover, various drinks such as cocktails, draft beer, and soft drinks are available at a separate station booth.
The Summer Night Cinema will also be held at the Emerald Hall from 8 p.m. for about two hours. The film to be screened is ‘Louis Wain: The Painter of Cats Who Painted Love,’ which depicts the life and love story of the UK’s national painter Louis Wain.
