Weekday Promotional Center Tour Program Held 3 Times Daily
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Orion announced on the 26th that it has opened and is operating the ‘Dr. You Jeju Lava Water Promotion Center’ at the Orion Jeju Lava Water Factory in Gujwa-eup, Jeju City.
Visits to the promotion center can be reserved through the Orion Jeju Lava Water website and are held three times on weekdays at 10:30 AM, 2 PM, and 4 PM. Each session accepts up to 30 visitors on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations must be completed three days prior to the visit to attend. The Dr. You Jeju Lava Water Promotion Center is a cultural space designed with Jeju’s columnar joints as its motif, consisting of a three-sided video hall, six exhibition spaces, a tour route, and an observatory. Visitors can observe the entire production process from the mysterious birth story of Jeju’s 400,000-year-old lava seawater to water treatment, production, packaging, and shipment.
The Jeju Lava Water Factory has been producing Dr. You Jeju Lava Water and Dr. You Immune Water since 2019 with state-of-the-art facilities and strict quality control. The factory has established a beverage production line by introducing cutting-edge beverage manufacturing equipment from Germany’s Krones and ultra-fast, precision injection molding equipment from Switzerland’s Nestal. Top-level domestic and international researchers have also participated in mineral blending and water taste development to enhance quality. In October last year, the factory obtained GMP certification, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety’s Good Manufacturing Practice for health functional foods, and has also completed certifications for the Food Safety Management System FSSC 22000, HACCP, and Halal.
Orion has selected the beverage business as a key new growth area for the group and is selling Dr. You Jeju Lava Water, made using mineral-rich Jeju lava seawater as the raw water. Sales in the first half of this year increased by 80% compared to the same period last year, showing a growth trend. In February, Orion expanded its product lineup by launching the ‘Dr. You Jeju Lava Water No-Label’ to improve convenience in separate disposal and recycling efficiency, and the health functional food ‘Dr. You Immune Water,’ which contains zinc necessary for normal immune function.
An Orion official said, “We opened the promotion center to raise awareness of the excellence of clean Jeju lava seawater and the differentiated product power of Dr. You Jeju Lava Water,” adding, “With the summer vacation season approaching, it will be an opportunity to enjoy Jeju healthily by experiencing Dr. You Jeju Lava Water along with visiting the promotion center.”
