[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Park Wansu, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, promised on the 25th to review the improvement of treatment for elderly life support workers.

Governor Park met with members of the Public Solidarity Union in front of the provincial office entrance on his way home that afternoon.

The union members demanded improved treatment and budget support, saying, "Other regions provide elderly life support workers with necessary care expenses, activity allowances, holiday bonuses, and heatwave and cold wave allowances."

Governor Park responded, "There are many places across the province that require budget allocation, so it is difficult to give a definite answer to allocate funds immediately. I have delivered related materials through a meeting with the person in charge, so based on that, we will carefully review the current situation and consider whether to reflect it in next year's budget proposal."
