[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] GS Engineering & Construction announced on the 25th that it has published its 2022 Sustainability Management Report, which includes its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities.
Published for the 11th time since 2011, this report features GS Engineering & Construction's ESG management activities under the theme of "Sustainable Development Beyond Growth," focusing on fulfilling environmental and social responsibilities.
In particular, this year, GS Engineering & Construction created "ESG CORE," which summarizes the core contents of ESG management, explaining the direction of business promotion for achieving its vision by distinguishing between eco-friendly new technologies and eco-friendly new businesses.
Eco-friendly new technologies include ▲site water-saving technology that reduces construction site water usage by more than 50%, ▲modular biogas facility technology, and ▲bioelectrochemical-based technology for converting carbon dioxide into hydrogen gas. Eco-friendly new businesses are being promoted through its subsidiary GS Inima in the eco-friendly water treatment sector, and based on this technology, the company has also entered the future-oriented clean salmon farming business.
A GS Engineering & Construction official stated, "Through this report, we aim to share the achievements of various business areas, including eco-friendly new technologies and new businesses, and grow as a leading company in sustainable management by communicating with stakeholders across diverse fields."
