Booyoung Group Gifts Double Portions of Samgyetang to Workers and Employees

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] Booyoung Group is gifting Samgyetang, a nourishing chicken soup, to celebrate Jungbok, a traditional Korean seasonal day.

Booyoung Group announced on the 25th that it will deliver about 6,000 sets of Samgyetang to construction site workers and employees on the 26th, coinciding with Jungbok. Since 2006, the group has provided Samgyetang annually as a health booster not only to site workers, management offices, and employees of group affiliates but also to partner company staff.

A Booyoung Group official said, "We hope this will be a strong comfort to the site workers who have physically struggled due to this year's unusually high temperatures."

Booyoung Group is also committed to preventing heat-related illnesses among site workers. They are strengthening heatstroke prevention guidance across construction sites nationwide and proactively assessing workers' vulnerability to heat illnesses using self-diagnosis checklists to ensure worker safety.

Additionally, during heatwave warnings, they mandate a 45-minute work and 15-minute rest schedule, and during heat advisories, a 50-minute work and 10-minute rest schedule. They also provide air-conditioned safety training rooms and worker lounges, along with ice and saline glucose.
