Gwangju Nambu Fire Department Conducts Sososim Fire Safety Experience Education

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] On the 25th, the Gwangju Nambu Fire Station announced that it conducted the So-So-Sim Fire Safety Experience Education to raise citizens' safety awareness and improve initial response capabilities.

'So-So-Sim' is an abbreviation for fire extinguisher, fire hydrant, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Simply knowing how to use them properly is the most basic public safety knowledge that can minimize damage and save precious lives in case of fire or cardiac arrest.

The education was conducted for citizens visiting Seungchonbo together with the 119 Citizen Lifesaving Team and Volunteer Fire Brigade, operating customized programs according to gender, age, and number of participants to encourage interest in fire safety.

The customized program was practice-oriented to enhance engagement and included ▲ fire extinguisher experience using training fire extinguishers ▲ fire hydrant usage education ▲ CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) usage education.

Additionally, 'So-So-Sim' leaflets were distributed, and continuous fire safety experience education will be provided to offer citizens more opportunities to experience fire safety.
