According to Sacheon Coast Guard Station, Mr. A, who had set out from Maekjeonpo Port for leisure activities that morning, had an accident when the boat suddenly capsized around 8:30 a.m. while changing the boat's position.
Mr. A reported the accident while sitting on the overturned motorboat, and Sacheon Coast Guard dispatched the Sacheon Police Substation coastal rescue boat, rescue team, and patrol vessels to the scene.
The Coast Guard rescue team entered the water and pulled Mr. A out at around 9:03 a.m., then righted the motorboat and towed it back to Maekjeonpo Port.
A Coast Guard official said, "Fortunately, there were no casualties," and added, "To prevent such maritime accidents, it is essential to thoroughly check all equipment before departure and familiarize yourself with the marine terrain and landmarks in advance."
