‘The Dignity of Seonbi Leaps Forward in Yeongju’, Gyeongbuk Yeongju City Selects Policy Goals for 8th Elected Term

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk has set the administrative goal for the 8th term of the elected mayor as ‘Seonbi's Dignity, Leaping Yeongju’.

Previously, the city conducted a public contest for the administrative goal from the 17th to the 22nd of last month, based on the policy of creating the administrative goal together with citizens. Out of 285 submissions, one grand prize and two excellence awards were selected.

The grand prize was awarded to ‘Energetic Leap, Seonbi Yeongju’, and the excellence awards went to ‘Reviving Economy, Vibrant Yeongju!’ and ‘Throbbing Heart, Yeongju Runs Again’.

The finalized goal, ‘Seonbi's Dignity, Leaping Yeongju’, embodies the meaning of realizing clean administration through the fair and honest spirit of Seonbi and reviving Yeongju’s heyday to leap into a dynamic future.

Additionally, the five major administrative policies to realize this are △Vibrant Local Economy △Future-oriented Wealthy Rural Areas △Joyful Culture and Tourism △Inclusive Happy City △Integrity Management and First-class Administration.

The city plans to actively promote the finalized administrative goal to the public to announce the identity of the newly launched 8th term of the elected mayor and accelerate the construction of a new Yeongju City that integrates spiritual culture and economic development.

Mayor Park Nam-seo of Yeongju said, “We will set policy directions according to the new administrative goal and policies, which are the direction of the 8th term, and steadily implement them to create a dynamic and future-oriented Yeongju together with the citizens of Yeongju.”
