Dessert Product Sales Increase 110% This Year

Starting today, Emart24 will sell refrigerated dessert products 'Milk Fresh Cream Bang Bang Donut' and 'Custard Cream Bang Bang Donut.' These products are made without using water, kneaded with French flour, milk, and eggs to preserve the unique flavor, volume, and soft chewy texture of Berliner donuts. Berliner donuts are a popular German snack characterized by their thick bread and white ring on the outer edge of the donut, with no hole in the center.
The 6cm tall Berliner dough contains an average of 60g of milk fresh cream and custard cream. More than half of the total bread weight is filled with cream. The milk fresh cream and custard cream in the Bang Bang Donuts contain 'vanilla beans,' which enhance the sweet and fragrant flavor while improving the quality of the cream.
To celebrate the sale of Bang Bang Donuts, all Emart24 stores nationwide will offer a free Ifresso brewed coffee to customers who purchase the product daily from 7 AM to 10 AM until the 31st of next month.
Meanwhile, Emart24's expansion of the Delicious Dessert product line is due to the steady increase in demand for desserts as the instant brewed coffee 'Ifresso,' which can be enjoyed for around 1,000 won, gains popularity. From January to July 24, Ifresso sales increased by more than 40% compared to the same period last year. Dessert product sales increased by 110%.
In particular, dessert product sales at Emart24 grew by 223% in the last two months compared to the same period last year. Sales in office districts increased the most at 415%, and residential areas also saw a significant rise of 277%. This is attributed to the recent increase in customers purchasing 'cost-effective products' at convenience stores due to high inflation.
Emart24 stated, "We will strengthen the Delicious Dessert product line by expanding cream bread products, which are popular among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) and can be enjoyed with coffee."
