The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in the military has approached 200,000.
The Ministry of National Defense announced on the 23rd that 1,793 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed.
As of 2 p.m. that day, the additional confirmed cases were 1,339 in the Army, 90 in the Navy, 193 in the Air Force, 80 in the Marine Corps, 86 in the Ministry of National Defense direct units, and 5 in the ROK-US Combined Forces Command.
The total cumulative cases stand at 197,227, with 8,609 cases currently under management.
