K League 1 Gimcheon Sangmu Adds '10 New Players' Including Lee Yuhyeon and Kim Junbeom

The new players are Im Seung-gyeom (Anyang), Choi Byung-chan (Bucheon), Lee Ji-hoon, Lee Yoo-hyun (both Jeonbuk), Lee Joon-seok, Kim Jun-beom (both Incheon), Kim Ryun-seong, Yoon Seok-joo (both Pohang), Moon Kyung-geon (Jeju), and Shin Song-hoon (Gwangju).

On the 21st, the Gimcheon club announced, "Ten new players have completed basic military training and joined the Armed Forces Athletic Corps," adding, "These ten new players will contribute to reversing the team's atmosphere and improving performance."

Attention is focused on how the new players will affect Gimcheon's recent slump. Gimcheon is currently ranked 10th among the 12 K League 1 teams. In particular, after the June A-match (international match) break, they suffered consecutive defeats against Gangwon FC and Incheon United.

Gimcheon will head to Taebaek, Gangwon Province, for a training camp in preparation for the national team's participation in the 2022 East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) E-1 Championship (East Asian Cup). From the 22nd to the 27th, they will play practice matches against university teams, and on the 30th, they will play an away game against Suwon Samsung at Suwon World Cup Stadium.
