Selected universities will develop and operate curricula (degree and non-degree) to equip students with core advanced industry technical competencies required by the industry, and support practical courses such as field training and job internships. By linking with the general financial support of the University Innovation Support Project, they can intensively invest in talent nurturing areas to strengthen capabilities.

The Ministry of Education and each ministry will support the creation of educational environments including university personnel expenses, scholarships, development and operation of educational programs, and facilities and equipment. Each ministry plans to support university-industry cooperation activities and employment linkage based on cooperative relationships with companies and other industry sectors.

Shim Moon-kyu, Director of University Academic Policy, said, "We expect universities to become central institutions for nurturing future core talents through the Inter-Ministerial Collaborative Talent Nurturing Project," adding, "We plan to actively respond to talent nurturing in new and advanced industries such as semiconductors based on talent demand by ministry and industry in the future."
