[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] The Korea Display Industry Association announced on the 20th that it will hold 'K-Display 2022 Korea Display Exhibition' at COEX in Seoul for three days from the 10th to the 12th of next month.

The Korea Display Exhibition, now in its 21st year, is the largest specialized display industry exhibition in Korea where the latest display technologies and trends can be explored.

About 150 companies will participate in this exhibition with 550 booths, making it the largest scale ever. Samsung Display and LG Display will participate with larger scales than in previous years and showcase new technologies and products.

Key materials, parts, and equipment companies in the display industry such as Jusung Engineering, Merck Performance Materials, Tokyo Electron Korea, and OneST will also participate to introduce excellent technologies.

Research institutes including the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), and Korea Photonics Technology Institute (KOPTI) will participate to showcase core materials and parts technologies as well as commercialization-based process technologies.

The themed pavilion will operate experience zones and media zones where visitors can try holograms, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and transparent signage. During the exhibition period, various side events such as the Display Business Forum and buyer invitation consultations from home and abroad will also be held.

At the Business Forum held at COEX on the 11th and 12th of next month, three panel makers including Samsung Display, LG Display, and BOE will participate in keynote speeches to announce roadmaps for key technologies.
