KakaoPay "Get Apple Stock When You Switch Paper Mail to Electronic Documents"

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Kakao Pay, together with Kakao Pay Securities, is holding an event where participants can exchange paper mail for electronic documents and receive various prizes, including stocks of overseas companies like Apple.

Kakao Pay announced on the 19th that it will run the ‘Electronic Document Green Challenge’ campaign.

This event involves collecting stamps by participating in four challenges using electronic documents: ▲ Sharing the challenge with friends ▲ Viewing all electronic documents in the ‘Unread’ tab of My Documents ▲ Applying for electronic documents such as card statements ▲ Reporting received ‘paper mail’. Completing these tasks awards stamps.

Users who collect two or more stamps will receive various rewards. Kakao Pay Securities will provide stocks worth 2,000 KRW of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) excellent companies to users who collect two or more stamps. The stocks are randomly selected from ESG excellent companies chosen by the S&P (Apple, Alphabet A, Microsoft, Intel, ExxonMobil). All domestic users aged 19 or older are eligible for the stock rewards.

Users who collect three or more stamps will be entered into a draw to win Freitag Hapa’o bags (10 winners) and Donggubat eco-friendly kits (100 winners). Among users who complete all four challenges, three will receive IKEA gift cards worth 1,000,000 KRW. The more the challenge is shared, the higher the chances of winning. Duplicate rewards are not allowed.

Meanwhile, a donation activity for forest creation is also underway in cooperation with the nonprofit organization ‘Forest of Peace.’ For every 30 stamps collected by participants in the ‘Electronic Document Green Challenge,’ one tree will be planted, with a maximum donation of 2,000 trees planned.

This event can be checked on Kakao Pay Home in KakaoTalk or in the Kakao Pay ‘My Documents’ section. It runs until September 4, and winners will be individually notified on September 15.

A Kakao Pay official stated, “We will continue to strive for ESG management by creating a paperless society through various eco-friendly financial services.”
