[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] On the 19th, ten home daycare centers affiliated with the Gijang-gun Daycare Center Association held a relay donation event at the Jeonggwan-eup Administrative Welfare Center to support isolated households.
The event was attended by Jeonggwan-eup Mayor Kim Jong-cheon and ten local daycare centers including Gadong Castle, Dongwon 1st, Lotte Ttorae, Lotte Eoullim, Lotte Castle 2nd, Lotte Haesol, Yeonji, Jeonggwan 4, Funny Zone, and Hanul.
This was the third event held following those in April and May, with daycare center students, parents, and childcare staff participating to donate 52 boxes of daily necessities.
The donated daily necessities will be delivered to low-income and socially isolated households identified during the focused investigation of welfare crisis households in the summer season.
A representative of the Gijang-gun Daycare Center Association who participated in the event said, “We hope that the support of daily necessities will be a small help to low-income residents who are more vulnerable to the heat.”
Jeonggwan-eup Mayor Kim Jong-cheon said, “I thank the daycare center officials and parents affiliated with the Gijang-gun Daycare Center Association for participating in the donation,” and added, “We will ensure that the donations are delivered to those who need them most.”
