Changwon Yongwon National Sports Center Practices Neighborly Help through 'Food Bank'

Under the Changwon Facilities Corporation in Gyeongnam, Yongwon National Sports Center recently distributed donated items to low-income groups.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Yongwon National Sports Center, under Changwon Facilities Corporation in Gyeongnam, recently installed a 'Food Bank Booth' in the lobby on the first floor of the center to deliver donated items to low-income groups.

A food bank refers to a food support welfare service that collects food donations from organizations or individuals and delivers them to marginalized groups within the community.

From the 6th to the 17th of this month, the center delivered about 100 donated canned and ham products collected by employees at the unmanned food bank booth to 10 low-income households in Yongwon-dong, Jinhae-gu, through the Jinhae General Social Welfare Center.

Shin Yong-wook, director of Yongwon National Sports Center, said, "We hope that the operation of this food bank will be a small help to neighbors in need."
