Hwasun-gun Recruiting Students for 'Dongguri Children's Art School' Until the 22nd


[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeollanam-do Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) announced on the 18th that it is recruiting students for the summer semester of the ‘Dongguri Children's Art School’ operated by the Hwasun-gun Seokbong Art Museum (hereinafter Seokbong Art Museum).


The application period is from the 19th to the 22nd, and anyone in grades 1 to 4 of elementary school can apply.


The classes are divided into two sessions, recruiting 30 students in total on a first-come, first-served basis, 15 students per session. The first session runs from the 26th of this month to the 4th of next month, and the second session from the 9th to the 18th of next month.


Classes will be held at the Seokbong Art Museum on weekdays from 2 to 4 p.m. under the theme ‘Art Stories from Textbooks.’


The curriculum includes various educational programs such as creating artworks experienced and expressed through the five senses, producing modern genre paintings combined with late Joseon dynasty genre paintings, exploring the colorful world of printmaking, and making personalized prints using relief printing techniques.


Applications can be made by downloading the application form from the ‘Education Program’ section on the Hwasun-gun Seokbong Art Museum website and sending it to the person in charge via email. After sending the email, phone confirmation is required to complete the registration, so caution is advised.
