Cell Biotech Launches High-Potency Probiotic for Children 'Duolac YamYam Premium'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwanju] Microbiome specialist company Cell Biotech announced on the 18th that it will launch 'Duolac YamYam Premium,' a high-dose probiotic exclusively for children that guarantees 10 billion lactic acid bacteria per packet.

The new product is a premium line of Duolac YamYam, characterized by increasing the guaranteed number of lactic acid bacteria from the existing 2 billion to 10 billion. The strain composition is the same as the existing product, consisting of four types of lactic acid bacteria and two types of bifidobacteria in a 67% to 33% ratio, respectively, to act evenly in the small and large intestines.

In particular, safety was verified by applying five patented strains that have completed human application tests targeting Korean children. Additionally, only 100% Korean premium probiotics were used, including lactic acid bacteria derived from the feces of healthy Korean infants who were breastfed. With world-patented dual-coating technology, the strains have high survival rates and can be stored at room temperature. The product also contains 'prebiotics,' the food for probiotics, as a secondary ingredient to help the growth of lactic acid bacteria.

Since 'Duolac YamYam Premium' is a high-dose product exclusively for children, it is sold only in pharmacies to ensure safety, allowing purchase and consumption after consultation with a pharmacist. A Cell Biotech official explained, “This new product is a rebirth of Duolac YamYam, which has been loved by parents for a long time, reflecting consumer opinions into a high-dose formula. Since probiotics are live bacteria and safety is important, we ensured safer consumption through human application tests and pharmacist consultations.”
