[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will hold a walking challenge event to commemorate the 32nd Geochang International Theater Festival starting from the 18th.

This event, held in celebration of the Geochang International Theater Festival taking place for the first time in four years, will be conducted through the mobile app ‘WalkOn’. Participants who complete more than 90% of the 1.5 km section around Suseungdae will receive a mobile gift certificate worth 5,000 KRW, limited to the first 700 people.

Anyone carrying a smartphone can participate by installing and signing up on the mobile app ‘WalkOn’, selecting ‘Challenge’, and joining the ‘32nd Geochang International Theater Festival Commemorative Walking Challenge’.

The walking course starts from the Suseungdae Management Office, passing through Guyeon Seowon, Guyeon Bridge, and Yosujeong, ending at the first parking lot.

Jo Ho-kyung, Director of the Culture and Tourism Division, said, “Since the walking challenge event will take place around the scenic Suseungdae area in Geochang, we hope many will participate in the challenge along with watching the plays. We plan to develop various contents for tourists to revitalize tourism.”

The Geochang International Theater Festival, themed ‘Geochang Midsummer Night’s Dream’, will be held from July 22 to August 5 around Suseungdae in Geochang. A total of 56 groups from eight countries including Korea will officially participate, presenting a total of 75 performances.
