[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jonghwa] Myve, a micro-mobility platform specialist company, and Tours Staff Co., Ltd., known for its ultra-compact electric vehicle exclusive sharing platform service "Tourzy," have formed a business partnership and decided to jointly enter the smart tourism city business.
Myve has completed the supply of a total of 38 vehicles for the Gangneung Smart City Challenge project and is preparing for full-scale operation. Tours Staff currently operates 120 Twizy vehicles based in Dongbusan, Geumjeong-gu in Busan, and Gyeongju areas, and plans to expand the number of vehicles in operation in the future.
Tours Staff is expanding the Tourzy service operation areas to cover the entire Busan area, major tourist destinations nationwide, smart cities, and smart tourism complexes. In particular, with a 24-hour reservation and return system via smartphone app and a free-floating service that allows flexible rental and return, it has established itself as one of the representative tourism products in Busan and across the country.
Myve plans to focus on the nationwide expansion of the smart tourism city business through mutual cooperation with Tours Staff, including the demonstration of the upcoming battery exchange-type electric vehicle (Myve M2) and the priority supply of various micro-mobility vehicles to be launched in the future.
Kim Jongbae, CEO of Myve, said, "Based on the competitiveness already verified in Gangneung Smart City, we will confirm the value of micro-mobility through cooperation with the Tourzy service," adding, "It is expected to make a significant contribution as a solution to urban transportation problems."
Kim Namjin, CEO of Tours Staff, said, "Tours Staff and Myve are looking at the same business area," and added, "The services in Gyeongju City and Busan City will be a good opportunity for mutual business expansion."
