[Weather] Tomorrow is a 'Rainy Wednesday'... Up to 50mm per hour

On Wednesday the 13th, heavy rain is expected in most parts of the country. Some areas may experience strong rain accompanied by gusts of wind, thunder, and lightning, with rainfall rates of around 30 to 50 mm per hour. Caution is advised to prevent rain-related damage.


The rain will begin in the early morning in the central regions (excluding the eastern coast of Gangwon), Jeonbuk, and northern Gyeongbuk, then spread nationwide during the day, tapering off in most areas by the 14th. Expected rainfall amounts by the morning of the 14th are 30 to 100 mm in the central regions (excluding the central and southern eastern coast of Gangwon), Jeolla region, Gyeongbuk region (excluding the eastern coast), the five western islands (from the 12th), and Ulleungdo and Dokdo. Northern Gyeonggi and inland northern Gangwon may see heavy rain exceeding 150 mm. The central and southern eastern coast of Gangwon, eastern coast of Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam region, and Jeju Island (until the night of the 14th) will receive 10 to 60 mm of rain.


Morning low temperatures will range from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will be between 23 and 29 degrees Celsius. Very strong winds are expected along the central western coast. Winds will also be very strong over the central West Sea, with high waves. Wave heights will be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the South Sea coastal waters.
