Gochang-gun Operates 'Summer Wetland School' for Elementary Students

[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeonbuk Gochang-gun announced on the 12th that it will operate the after-school village school "Summer Wetland School" for elementary school students in collaboration with the Gochang Office of Education during the summer vacation.

The program, held from the 25th to the 29th at Ungok Wetland Ecological Park and the Ungok Village area, provides an experience to directly observe and learn about the formation process of Ungok Wetland and the various flora and fauna living in the wetland, fostering an appreciation for nature and the environment.

In the summer, Ungok Wetland Ecological Park offers sights of various insects such as crickets, grasshoppers, and cicadas playing in the grass, as well as vibrant summer flowers like sunflowers and Liriope spicata.

The program is designed so that children can enjoy fascinating natural play using tree leaves and seeds, explore to find insects, and take time to closely observe flowers.

The program is hosted by the "Gochang Ungok Wetland Ecotourism Association," which conducts the Ungok Wetland ecological tourism program.

Applications for participation are accepted via email starting at 10 a.m. on the same day. For more details, refer to the website or contact the Gochang Ungok Wetland Ecotourism Association.
