KFC Raises Zinger Burger Price by 400 Won Again After Six Months...

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] KFC will raise the prices of some menu items by 200 to 400 won starting from the 12th. As a result, the price of the Zinger Burger will increase by 8.2%, from the previous 4,900 won to 5,300 won, and the Original Chicken will rise by 7.4%, from 2,700 won to 2,900 won per piece.

KFC explained in a notice on its website that "due to recent increases in raw material and all other costs, it was unavoidable to make a slight price adjustment."

Earlier, in January of this year, KFC also raised the prices of some products, including the Zinger Burger and Original Chicken, by 100 to 200 won.

Amid soaring food prices recently due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict and other factors, franchise companies are consecutively raising prices of products such as burgers. Previously, Lotteria raised product prices by an average of 4.1% in December last year and by an average of 5.5% last month, while Tous Les Jours, a bakery operated by CJ Foodville, increased prices of about 80 products by an average of 9.5% this month.
