This ambassador appointment was promoted to nationally publicize Yeongcheon, the "Athletics City," which has achieved excellent results in various competitions over the past two years, through Coach Hwang Young-jo, the "Athletics Legend."

Yeongcheon City established the Yeongcheon City Hall Athletics Team in January last year, and within six months of its founding, its athlete achieved a remarkable feat by winning two championships at the 49th KBS Cup National Athletics Competition.

Additionally, many local student athletes such as Shim Jeong-sun and Song Da-won have won several national competitions, raising Yeongcheon's status.
