Campus Travel, Dream Anew... Busan Gijang-gun Recruiting Participants for 'Out-of-School Youth University Exploration' Recruitment Poster for 'Out-of-School Youth College Exploration' Participation.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Gijang-gun is recruiting participants for the ‘Out-of-School Youth University Exploration’ program, which will be held for 2 nights and 3 days from August 17 to 19.


The ‘Out-of-School Youth University Exploration’ is a project selected through the Gijang-gun Youth Participatory Budgeting contest.


The program aims to provide out-of-school youth, who are unable to attend school due to personal circumstances, with opportunities to have new dreams through visits to famous universities in Seoul and career experience.


Eligible participants are out-of-school youth aged 9 to under 24 residing in Gijang-gun, and 25 participants will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis from the 11th to the 31st.


Applications can be submitted by accessing the Gijang-gun Youth Counseling Welfare Center website and applying through the program application section.


Main activities include ▲ campus tours of Seoul National University and Yonsei University, career and admission counseling with current students ▲ visits to the National Assembly, KBS, Korea Newspaper Museum, National Museum of Korea, etc. ▲ career and job experience at Korea Job World Youth Hall.


A Gijang-gun official said, “We hope this program will be an opportunity for out-of-school youth to decide their studies and careers on their own and create their future.”
