In April, ‘Hillstate Geomdan Well County,’ sold in Geomdan New Town, Incheon, recorded a first-priority competition rate of 80.12 to 1 with nearly 46,000 applications.


The industry analyzes that the popularity of such brand-new apartments is fundamentally due to continuously developing specialized products befitting the brand’s status, resulting in high-quality complexes and distinguished location selection compared to non-branded apartments.


Meanwhile, recently, even within the same area, the price gap between branded and non-branded apartments is widening, reinforcing the perception that brand has the greatest influence on housing prices.


In fact, the value of brands has increased among consumers recently. For instance, according to a survey conducted by real estate information company Zigbang in March with 1,143 app users, 87.4% of respondents answered that apartment brands influence apartment value (price).


An industry official said, “Brand-new apartments have a definite advantage in auxiliary facilities such as landscaping and community spaces, which have become core elements of residential environments recently, so their preference is increasing. Therefore, the popularity of brand-new apartments is expected to continue rising.”


Meanwhile, in the Seoul-san sales market, the brand-new apartment ‘ePyeonhanSesang Seoul-san Park Grande’ is entering its full sales schedule.
