[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Dongjin) announced on the 7th that it will hold a ‘SUMMER Party’ outdoor water park event at the special water playground in the school’s main stadium on the 9th.
The ‘SUMMER Party’ outdoor water park event is organized by the Gwangju University Hosim Social Service Group and prepared to contribute to the local community through talent donation by the Gwangju Nam-gu Volunteer Center, Gwangju University Volunteer Camp, and others.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., local youth and children of all ages are welcome to enter.
The admission fee is 2,000 KRW per person, and guardians are free. The revenue from the outdoor water park, including admission fees, will be donated to local children-headed households.
Gwangju University plans to install and operate various water play facilities such as swimming pools, air bounces, and slides.
To prevent safety accidents and manage games, the GU Sports Volunteer Group and students from the Department of Sports Science will participate in volunteer activities.
Additionally, students from the Department of Beauty and Cosmetology and the Department of Photography, Video, and Drone will operate programs such as nail art, face painting, and instant photo shooting and printing for visitors.
Meanwhile, Gwangju University received a positive response by holding a sports event with local residents last May. Over two days, more than 300 youths and children enjoyed themselves by participating in about 10 types of air bounces, obstacle courses, tag games, and other activities set up in the school’s main stadium.
