Gokseong-gun Ensures Safety at Ice Cream Festival

Held Safety Management Committee Working Group Meeting to Review Safety Management Measures by Institution

[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jong-sun] Jeonnam Gokseong-gun (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that it held the 'Gokseong-gun Safety Management Committee Working-level Meeting' to safely conduct the Gokseong Ice Cream Festival, which will be held from the 15th.

The working-level committee consists of nine related organizations and groups in the region, including Gokseong-gun, Gokseong Police Station, Gokseong 119 Safety Center, and Gokseong Office of Education, with Deputy Governor Lee Sang-jin of Gokseong-gun serving as the working-level chairman.

At this meeting, the festival safety management plan for the '2022 Gokseong Ice Cream Festival' held by Gokseong-gun from July 15 to July 17 was discussed.

The committee thoroughly reviewed the appropriateness of the event plan, response measures in case of crisis situations, and overall safety management measures such as maintaining order at the event site.

Then, while exchanging opinions on mutual cooperation among related organizations, they made thorough preparations for a safe festival.

Gokseong-gun is holding the ice cream festival for the first time this year to attract visitors during the summer vacation season.

Visitors can fully enjoy not only unique and diverse ice creams but also various water play activities such as bubble slides and water gun battles.

With the recent continuation of hot weather, it is expected that many people will visit to cool off during the summer.

For a successful festival, Gokseong-gun emphasizes that festival safety management is the top priority prerequisite.

In particular, efforts are being made to comply with basic daily quarantine rules and to alleviate the density of water play facilities.

Additionally, active response measures are being prepared to thoroughly prevent safety accidents and enable quick action, including safety management of event facilities and operation of an on-site comprehensive situation room.

Working-level Chairman Lee Sang-jin said, "Not a single safety accident should occur to visitors who come to the festival with a joyful heart," adding, "Each organization will accurately recognize its role and actively assist each other in cooperation to successfully carry out the festival."
