Kia Employees Work at Residential-Based Distributed Office 'Jibmusil'

Office Provides Optimal Environment for Autonomous Work of Corporate Clients

Kia Employees Work at Residential-Based Distributed Office 'Jibmusil' Office Wangsimni Branch

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Allicon, the operator of the residence-based distributed office 'Jibmusil' (co-CEOs Kim Seong-min and Jo Min-hee), announced on the 7th that Kia has decided to use Jibmusil as a hub office to fully implement a flexible work system. All Kia employees will be able to use all branches of Jibmusil as their workplaces starting in July.

Jibmusil, meaning 'office near home,' is a distributed office optimized for hybrid work that combines headquarters work and remote work. It currently operates six branches in major residential areas within the Seoul metropolitan area: Jeongdong, Seoul National University, Seokchon, Mokdong, Wangsimni in Seoul, and Ilsan in Gyeonggi Province.

Kia reportedly chose Jibmusil to enhance employee convenience and work productivity in line with recent changes to the flexible work system. Employees can use the office as needed without separate reservations, and payments are made collectively based on usage. Kia can now provide an efficient work environment by saving employees' commuting time and alleviating the inconveniences of working from home.

Managers of corporate clients using Jibmusil can easily monitor the work status, including different employees' work locations and usage times. Additionally, employees receive alerts through the Jibmusil app about the arrival times of colleagues they frequently collaborate with and can communicate via messenger.

As demand from companies adopting flexible work systems has increased recently, the usage of space by existing corporate clients of Jibmusil has grown by 30% compared to last year. Jibmusil plans to expand its branches significantly, starting with the opening of the Gongdeok branch in August this year. Currently, about 30 companies, including KT, Kakao Enterprise, LG Display, LG Energy Solution, LG Electronics, and LG Chem, use Jibmusil.

Kim Seong-min, co-CEO of Allicon, said, "Companies now agree that hybrid work is a proven efficient work method, and flexible work systems are essential to attract and retain top talent. Jibmusil, as Korea's first residence-based distributed office, will strive to provide an optimized work environment for companies adopting work flexibility."
