[Asia Economy Reporter Geum Bo-ryeong] Russian forces reportedly destroyed two High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) in Donetsk, Ukraine, according to Sputnik News and other sources on the 6th (local time).
HIMARS, provided by the United States to Ukraine, can launch multiple precision-guided rockets simultaneously and is also vehicle-mobile.
According to the reports, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated, "Using high-precision air-launched missiles, we destroyed two US-made HIMARS units and two ammunition depots located in the village of Malotaranivka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR)."
The United States has supplied a total of four HIMARS units to Ukraine. An additional four units are scheduled to be delivered in mid-month. If the Russian military's claims are accurate, only two HIMARS units remain on the Ukrainian battlefield at present.
