Hwayang-myeon Okjeok-ri Yeosu City Artists' Village Exhibition Until July 17
[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Cheol-hoon] The 'Yeosu Artists' Village' located in Okjeok-ri, Hwayang-myeon, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do, is hosting the '5 Resident Artists Exhibition' until the 17th.
The exhibition is open for free viewing from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and is closed on Mondays.
This exhibition features 18 carefully crafted works by five artists: Park Geumman, who actively creates works themed on the Yeosu-Suncheon Incident; Park Donghwa, who participated in the main exhibition of the 2022 Yeosu International Art Festival; Yang Hae-woong, chairman of the 2022 Yeosu International Art Festival Promotion Committee; Lee Minha, former head of the Yeosu branch of the Korean Fine Arts Association; and Jo Jonghyun, the director of Yeosu Artists' Village.
Meanwhile, Yeosu Artists' Village was established by Yeosu City after purchasing the closed Okjeok Elementary School in 2005, remodeling it to include artist studios and a permanent exhibition hall called 'Okjeok Gallery,' and has been operating since 2009.
Yeosu Artists' Village is located on Okcheon-ro, Hwayang-myeon, Yeosu-si.
To date, it has held a total of 53 exhibitions, serving as a creative space for local cultural artists and a complex cultural space for citizens.
