[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Hana Bank has joined hands with Kyung Hee University to promote the culture of legacy donation.
On the 6th, Hana Bank announced that it signed a "Business Agreement for Promoting the Culture of Legacy Donation through Trusts" with Kyung Hee University at the Kyung Hee University Main Building in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
Accordingly, both institutions plan to collaborate on various initiatives to activate 'legacy donation,' which is gaining social interest and necessity due to the advent of a super-aged society.
Hana Bank will provide not only financial solutions for donors' posthumous legacy donations but also life journey planning to conveniently and safely manage retirement funds. To this end, legal, tax, real estate, and financial experts belonging to the 'Living Trust Center,' a specialized organization for asset management and inheritance planning, will design and recommend customized donation trust products such as substitute wills. Additionally, a dedicated trust product for Kyung Hee University will be developed.
Kyung Hee University promotes and encourages 'legacy donation' to potential donors, including alumni, through its own development fund campaign called 'Global Trust.' Specifically, it plans to offer various programs of the 'Global Trust' campaign to potential donors, including ▲Infectious Disease Prevention and Overcoming Research Fund ▲Defector Global Talent Fund ▲Climate Change Fund ▲Customized Scholarship Fund.
At the business agreement ceremony, Park Sung-ho, President of Hana Bank, stated, "Hana Bank will continue to practice proactive ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management by creating new social values and connecting them for a better future."
Han Kyun-tae, President of Kyung Hee University, said, "Donations are being used not only for general scholarships but also for responding to climate change and future educational environments," adding, "We will achieve the goal of becoming a future-oriented university and contribute to a sustainable society through various collaborations with Hana Bank."
