[Exclusive] Missing Woman at Gayang Station Found to Have Left Distressing Note... Possibility of Extreme Choice Considered Photo by the Kim family

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A woman in her 20s, a working professional, has been missing for eight days near Gayang Station on Seoul Subway Line 9, and a note expressing distress about her situation was found. This has raised the possibility that Ms. Kim may have made an extreme choice.

According to a compilation of reports on the 6th, the Gangseo Police Station in Seoul discovered a note presumed to be a suicide letter at the home of Kim Ga-eul (24), who disappeared near Gayang Station on the 27th of last month. The note was found on Kim’s tablet PC and contains two pages of content expressing despair about her situation.

Additionally, the police confirmed that at 11:02 PM on the day she went missing, Kim was recorded standing in the middle of Gayang Bridge on a passing bus’s black box footage.

Accordingly, the police are giving considerable weight to the possibility of an extreme choice and have been using the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s drone team to search around the Han River since the 5th.
