Jindo County Council Elects Chairman 'Jang Young-woo' and Vice Chairman 'Kim Chun-hwa'

Jang Chairman: "Faithfully Fulfilling the Role of a Deliberative Body Communicating with Military Residents on Site"

[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] On the 5th, the Jindo County Council in Jeollanam-do held the 280th extraordinary session and elected Jang Young-woo of the Democratic Party as the chairman of the 9th Jindo County Council's first half, and Kim Chun-hwa, also from the same party, as the vice chairman.

The newly appointed Chairman Jang Young-woo is a re-elected member who previously served as the vice chairman of the 8th Jindo County Council and is currently active as the Special Committee Chair for Balanced Development of the Democratic Party's Jeonnam Provincial Party.

Vice Chairman Kim Chun-hwa is a re-elected female member who has served as the Women's Director and Vice Chairperson of the Democratic Party's Jeonnam Provincial Party.

In his opening remarks, Chairman Jang Young-woo said, “Together with fellow council members, I will prioritize the happiness of the residents in our legislative activities,” adding, “I will actively visit various sites, listen carefully to even the smallest voices of the residents, and strive to become a council that walks alongside the residents, fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to us to become a trusted Jindo County Council.”

Vice Chairman Kim Chun-hwa stated, “I plan to communicate with the executive branch and faithfully serve as a bridge both inside and outside the council toward the common goal of Jindo’s development and residents’ happiness,” and added, “As a representative body, I will do my best to ensure the council is always open through the residents’ generous advice, criticism, encouragement, and support.”

The Jindo County Council will begin full-scale legislative activities for four years starting with the 280th extraordinary session and the inauguration ceremony of the 9th Jindo County Council held on the 5th.

Meanwhile, the 9th Jindo County Council is composed of a total of seven members: one three-term member, four re-elected members, and two first-term members.
