Jeonnam Provincial Council Opens First Extraordinary Session for 'First Half Leadership Formation'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Jeonnam Provincial Council announced on the 5th that it will hold the first temporary session of the 12th term for two days from the 6th to the 7th.

This temporary session, held for the first time since 61 provincial council members were elected in the June 1 local elections, will organize the leadership for the first half of the term, responsible for operating the council for the next two years.

On the first day, one chairperson, two vice-chairpersons, and seven standing committee chairpersons will be elected. On the second day, members of the standing committees, the council operation committee, and the budget settlement and ethics special committee will be appointed to complete the leadership organization.

After the first half leadership organization is completed, the Jeonnam Provincial Council plans to hold the 364th temporary session starting on the 19th, beginning with administrative reports on provincial and educational administration, and then fully engaging in legislative activities.
