This Year’s ‘Starry Night Suyeong River LED Kayak Experience Event’ to Be Held

July 8-9 at Suyeong River from Jwasuyeonggyo to Suyeonggyo Intersection

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City will hold a nighttime event called the ‘Starry Suyeonggang LED Kayak Experience’ at Suyeong River, a representative night view spot, from July 8 to 9.

Now in its second year following last year, this event is a romantic and unique nighttime tourism program, taking place from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM on both the 8th and 9th.

The event will be held along the Suyeong River section from Jwasuyeonggyo Bridge to Suyeonggyo Intersection, with about 100 participants per session over two days. Participants can enjoy the beautiful night view of Suyeong River while riding LED-equipped kayaks. During the event days, the night view of Centum City’s skyline filled with skyscrapers will blend with the LED kayak lights, making the scenery even more sparkling and radiant.

The city operates tourism products linked with local tourism businesses to promote nighttime tourism and revitalize the local economy. Participants in the event will receive a 5,000 KRW discount coupon when using marine healing programs or river cruises together.

Jo Yujang, Director of the Tourism MICE Industry Bureau of Busan City, said, “We will develop and operate unique nighttime tourism content that can be enjoyed on the river to make Busan a marine tourism city rich in attractions, entertainment, and experiences throughout all four seasons.” He added, “Going forward, in line with Busan’s status as a marine capital, we will discover and operate various marine leisure contents by utilizing Busan’s natural tourism resources.”
