Kwangdong Pharmaceutical Launches 'Kwangdong Gyeongokgo' 20-Pack Package Product

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Kwangdong Pharmaceutical announced on the 5th that it has launched a 20-stick package of 'Kwangdong Gyeongokgo,' a tonic that modernizes the Donguibogam prescription.

The Kwangdong Gyeongokgo 20-stick package is designed and dosed to improve 'medication adherence' so that it can be taken consistently. Compared to the existing product, it features a compact-sized box with a magnetic lid, allowing users to place it on desks or everyday spaces and take out individually packaged stick-type medicine one by one. One box of the formulation consists of 20 sticks, corresponding to 'Han Je (20 cheop),' the traditional packaging unit of herbal medicine.

A Kwangdong Pharmaceutical official explained, "We applied a new concept package in a compact size so that the product can be placed in a visible spot and taken daily without forgetting," adding, "It will be a good choice for health management not only for those who want short-term use for post-illness recovery but also for young people recently showing interest in herbal nutritional supplements."

Kwangdong Gyeongokgo is one of the steady-selling herbal OTC drugs manufactured in GMP facilities after blending four medicinal ingredients?ginseng, Poria, raw Rehmannia root, and honey?in optimal ratios and undergoing a steaming and aging process for 120 hours. It is effective for tonic purposes in cases of physical fatigue, weak constitution, during and after illness, lethargy, and menopausal disorders, and can be purchased at pharmacies.
