Haitai Confectionery Launches 'Ivy Canape' Combining Crackers with 'Gohyang Mandu'

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Haitai Confectionery announced on the 5th that 'Gohyang Mandu' and the cracker 'Ivy' have collaborated to launch the home meal replacement (HMR) product 'Ivy Canap?.'


Unlike the typical canap?, which involves placing ingredients on top of a cracker, this is a new concept canap? mandu that uses the dumpling method to enclose the ingredients inside.


After over a year of research, Haitai succeeded in shaping Ivy cracker dough into canap? mandu. Through numerous experiments, they found the optimal dough recipe that maintains a crispy and mild flavor while having high elasticity enough to hold the toppings inside. This is why the canap? mandu retains the mildness of Ivy crackers but is even crispier.


Additionally, Haitai applied its unique dumpling technique to seal the layered edges, creating space to hold fresh toppings. The crispy exterior traps moisture inside, achieving the perfect 'crispy outside, moist inside' texture. The new product will be released in two flavors: 'Kkreami' and 'Sweet Pumpkin.'


A Haitai Confectionery representative said, "The collaboration between the steady-seller Ivy and Gohyang Mandu will offer customers a familiar yet new experience," adding, "We plan to continuously introduce canap? mandu products with trendy concepts and popular flavors featuring various ingredients."
