Shinsegae Chicor.com 2nd Anniversary, Up to 75% Discount Event Held

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Chicor's official online mall, Chicor.com, announced on the 5th that it will hold a sale event with discounts of up to 75% to celebrate its 2nd anniversary.


Chicor.com stated, "Starting from the 6th, over 400 brands featured on Chicor.com will offer various special-priced products," adding, "We provide genuine set gifts from global luxury brands such as Est?e Lauder, Origins, Shiseido, and Clinique, along with discounts of up to 75% when participating in the event."


Est?e Lauder prepared a special set that gives three 7ml bottles free with the purchase of a 30ml Advanced Night Repair serum, and offers up to 50% discount during the event. K?rastase offers a deluxe 3-piece gift to customers who purchase the Ciment Thermique duo set, and provides a 75ml Masque Th?rapiste along with the 250ml Bain Divalent shampoo. Kiehl’s presents special sets of their bestseller Calendula Petal Toner 250ml and Ultra Facial Cream 125ml, with deluxe 3-piece gifts prepared for set purchasers.


Biotherm offers two 15ml products, the same size as the main product, free with the purchase of the 30ml Cera Repair Barrier Strengthening Cream. NARS provides a mini foundation and a silver box with the purchase of the new Light Reflecting Foundation. Aveda gives a 250ml full-size Rosemary Mint Shampoo to customers who purchase the same item, and L’Occitane has prepared a special limited edition 2022 Verbena line set.


Chicor.com has rapidly grown by making brands that were only available in department stores accessible online, and has introduced various content for the digitally savvy MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) customers. Recently, it partnered with the French perfume recommendation service 'Perfumist' to introduce a customer-tailored service using big data.


Customer response has been enthusiastic. Until June this year, Chicor.com’s sales grew by 67% compared to the previous year, showing high growth. The cumulative number of members surpassed 1 million, with customers in their 20s and 30s accounting for 81% of the total.


A prize event for Chicor.com customers will also be held. From the 6th to the 24th, customers will receive entry tickets based on their purchase amount for a chance to win prizes such as iPads, AirPods, Chicor Nail Shop gift certificates worth 100,000 KRW, and Shinsegae gift certificates. An event is also prepared to give Kakao emoticons on a first-come, first-served basis to customers who write congratulatory comments for the 2nd anniversary.


Customers with 100% attendance each week will receive 2,000 points, and free shipping is available for purchases over 10,000 KRW on weekends. From Wednesday to Friday every week, a roulette event with guaranteed prizes is held, and on Mondays, discount coupons of 30-50% are given on a first-come, first-served basis. Starting from the 6th, new members will also receive a purchase benefit of up to 1,000 KRW.
